WWE 2K20 (C++) – PS4, Xbox One, PC

As part of HB Studios, we worked in collaboration with Visual Concepts to procure the WWE2k codebase from the previous developer, “Yuke’s”, and create the next entry in the franchise.

I acted as a Front End Engineer during this project.

Tools used on this project: Visual Studio 2017, Perforce, JIRA

Tasks and responsibilities throughout the project included:

  • Converted legacy code for UI/modes to be compatible with a new state machine system.
  • Built new UI components and upgraded existing UI components.
  • Completed technical art duties to provide polish for screens and components.
  • Fixed rendering issues for 3D models.
  • Helped engineers new to the project ramp up and gain familiarity with its systems, tools, and advisable development techniques.
  • Worked extensively with JIRA and maintained daily time estimates, including the actioning of all task completion requirements.
